My 87-year-old grandfather (who’s been married to my grandmother for 60 years (: ) wears a wedding band, as does my 53-year-old father, but I’ve noticed that a lot of older men don’t wear them. When did wedding bands for men become common practice?

I think that some men wear them and some men dont. . im not too sure as to whys ome wouldnt because it is a symbol of the strenght of the relationship between him and his wife!
